Chairmans Report

Hi Members,

As we all know ANZAC Day brings on the winter times and with it comes our     annual firewood raffles. This project is strongly supported by Bartel Firewood      Supplies who have been supplying our firewood for many years. The roster for ticket sales is filling fast. I hope as many members as possible become involved in this   important project.

Our Shed continues to take on many projects including an outdoor bench. Whilst small in size it has become a large project and a job well done. Wodonga Hockey Clubs display cabinet is ongoing and taking shape. The Megafauna Dragon, under the masterful hand of Kevin is also progressing well.

Chair restorations continue with one job finishing and another starting. Several      garden containment beds have been completed. Motor scooter repairs are complete, and the units are back on the road. A dog kennel is nearing completion.

The production of timber Soldiers and Buglers kept many members busy with well over 30 creations being sold. Many members rallied to assist with construction     following multiple orders received after we announced the project on our Facebook page.

Our Metal Shed team are busily constructing Gates and Bridge sections. The long-awaited pallet Dismantler is taking shape and will soon be up and running.

BBQ team are booked out for events in May, and we are always looking for           additional members to assist and join in the fun.

As winter begins to bite, our kindling production will start to increase in volume.   Our newly increased undercover storage area is proving vital to this task.

Ability Day has started for term two on Thursdays with a few new members joining us. We welcome them and trust they will enjoy their time at our Shed. The Shed will be open however NDIS members have priority on that day.

Belvoir School has also commenced for term two on Tuesdays with a few new     Students attending. Those members with current “Working with Children passes” are welcome to come along and assist with the students’ projects.

And don’t forget to bring along your personnel projects and use the sheds facilities as much as you need.

Fridays is always the day for a jam session for the shed’s musicians. Come along and join us.

Enjoy your time at the shed.
